I’m an eighth grader and thank you Timothée for inviting me here. I have a question. If you could go back in time and give your eighth grade self advice, do you know what it would be?
“That’s a good question. I always try to tell myself to surround yourself with people who have positive energy-who are nice. I was nervous to come speak to you guys because I remember in middle school, or even in high school, people could be mean and negative. It could be hard to find your group of friends, your people that are really supportive and nice. That might sound kind of cheesy but it’s honestly what I would say to myself in eighth grade. Try to find people that make you feel good about yourself and make you want to chase your dreams, not the people who will drag you down.”
