They are their best friends day in and day out showing true unconditional love. Whether you had a great day, mediocre day or a real ruff day they are always happy to see you and ready to make everything better. To your pets you are the ruler of the world and you also happen to be their best friend. • Austin and Kimber have such an awesome dog named Avery (named after the beer company). She was so shy when we first met her. Avery would walk up to us with her head and ears down and let us give her a light pet before running back to Austin's side. After a few rounds of fetch (her favorite game) she finally warmed up to us. At this point we were part of the crew. • As we all hiked up Avery would always charge ahead with her endless energy. It was 4 a.m. at this point (trying to catch the sunrise), but she was running through puddles, sniffing the wild flowers and also always making sure we were near by. She would never go further than a few feet before looking back to check in on Austin and Kimber. Occasionally she would run back and jump on them just to say "I love you, but hurry up!" then run ahead and continue on. Throughout the day seeing the bond between Avery and her humans made me so happy. It was great being able to spend time with all of them while having some fun in the mountains.
