*Primark Boston Fashion Week 2019*
Whoa, TWO blog posts in one week?!? Like Jasmine & Aladdin sing, it's a whole new world haha! Hope I can keep this streak going as I'm really enjoying writing more these days! It was Boston Fashion Week last week & while we had been voted the worst dressed city in the country before (boo!) & our Fashion Week doesn't have the panache of New York or Milan, we're still pretty stylish & we're proud to say so!
I stopped by the Primark Downtown Crossing fashion show last week hosted by Boston personalities, Billy Costa & Jenny Johnson, along with the venerable Jay Calderin, author & founder of Boston Fashion Week. I don't shop much fast fashion these days, but I really did enjoy the seasonal trends that Primark presented & was definitely inspired for fall dressing!
Here are the trends that will be popular for autumn, some that are eternally classic for the season & some refreshingly unexpected are:
Tartan plaid or houndstoothStatement textured coats
Dark red rose printHead-to-toe neutrals
Like I said, some trends are pretty on par for the season. I myself am partial to monochrome outfits, despite my maximalist print-mixing tendencies, haha! However, I actually really liked the red rose print pieces & I think red will be a bold, unexpected color choice for fall!
Knit pieces, chunky sweaters, puffy jackets...they're all fall favorites & I can't wait for cold weather dressing. Fall is definitely my favorite fashion season! Great job to all the models who rocked the runway! If you walked in the show & would like one of the photos for your use, just credit me (@leiannoffduty) or email me ([email protected]) for a high resolution pic 😊 Boston Fashion Week may be over, but if you're like me, every week is fashion week!
