Miks Quick Peek
Game: ELDER SCROLLS Online
Genre: MMORPG
Since playing the past BETA of ESO, I have been intrigued on the concept with the whole, "Be Who You Want to BE" motto. Players who have played the Elder Scrolls series are savy with this structure.
As an avid MMO player, I interpret the class/skill/level structure as the following:
1. You level up skills similar as Guild wars 2. Instead of earning new skills by character level, you level it by using that skill.
2. Unlike Final Fantasy XIV, you don't have a certain weapon equipped in order to access skills of a certain class. You can be a healing thief in ESO, it may not be optimal, but yea it's there if you want it.
I personally find it a bit overwhelming with this structure as I'm the type of player who likes to specialize in a particular area. I know i can still do that with this structure, but I feel I'd be too tempted to master all the things and lose myself in the game. Although, I do believe that the more options the better :] If anything, I suppose this game will help me level up my self-control huehueh.
If I had to sum up how the game play feel so far, I'd say it's like Skyrim...with people O.O;
