Murphy USA Partners with BGCA to Fuel Children’s Futures

An electrical contractor for close to 27 years, Loren Wesley Vankirk has many other interests outside of serving as CEO for Vankirk Electric. In addition to his interests and profession, Loren Wesley Vankirk also contributes to the Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA), an organization that supports numerous programs to keep children on track. In 2020 Murphy USA announced that it would partner with BGCA in a marketing campaign to raise money for the organization. The name of the campaign was Great Futures Fueled Here, and it was executed in two stages. The campaign was executed across 1,500 locations across 26 states, beginning in April 2020. The first phase ran from April 1 to May 5, 2020, and the second phase began in August 2020. Patrons contributed $1, $2, and $5 or they rounded up their purchases at the register, donating the extra change to BGCA. The funds raised through Murphy USA will help children in the locations the gasoline/convenience store serves. Murphy USA President and CEO Andrew Clyde stated that giving back to the community is one of the company’s central mission. In a release, Clyde also added that the partnership will guarantee that BGCA has the funding needed to help children have successful futures.
