We all deserve some good vibes during this dark time 🎈Took all of Monday to process things and still am🤞🏽Sharing becos’ I’m not sure if it will survive the riots but I hope it will provide some comfort, especially for our black and brown friends *HUGS* Instead of a ⬛️ This is dedicated to YOU 🖤 . The 12 hrs spent painting this community mural over the weekend was an emotional coaster ride but nothing close to experiencing the pain of the black community. Day 2 🌧PM - we worked late into dark unaware that there were riots and looting in our hood. Day 3 💔AM - while walking to the mural we saw hangers, broken glass, charred trash bins and broken entrances to stores. The half complete mural was left untouched by vandals sandwiched between a Chipotle graffitied with a big dick and a looted Walgreens. Locals and motorists stopped or yelled out encouragement or shared information about the protests and for an introvert that haven’t left the home for the last 3 months it was awkward and heart warming. I’m VERY THANKFUL to @paintthevoidproject, @building180 & Jennell of @goodvibestoys for the opportunity to put my art and heart in the neighborhood that I call home. . 🧡 You can check it on 189 Kearny St in San Francisco... if it survive.
