SITCH SESSIONS: SHAKEY GRAVES, 'TOMORROW'
Like the Avett Brothers and others, Shakey Graves has his own way with a song. The craftsmanship of his compositions rarely follows the standard verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus formula. Even if it did, it would probably go unnoticed because his lyrics and delivery are so thoroughly charming.
That charisma is on full display in this Sitch Session of “Tomorrow” shot last year at the ACE Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The BGS managed to sneak Shakey and the crew up to a room to capture his performance -- and jump on the bed. Bonnaroo goers can catch Graves this weekend on the BGS stage. The charisma will be there. The bed will not.
