Howdy friends! I've created a comic, better angels, for the BHF24 Christmas prompts! You can follow the link to read it on AO3 because I don't much care for posting multi-page comics on tumblr. (i like the scroll instead of the swipe i guess)

feel free to read my nonsense ramble after the cut lol

i have not drawn for like a year and jfc my hand hurts and that is also why beth and daryl look different in every panel as well as a mishmash of styles. apparently the yearly MIGHTY NEED to create a comic wasn't dead, just biding its time so this is a few year's worth of pages apparently

but i am glad i made it even if they look friggin' wonky it felt good to maek aert again

also way back when i first started writing for twd, i made a short little epistolary one-shot to help figure out beth and daryl, and thought about making it into a comic thing, so i made fonts for their handwriting. in the end i scrapped that idea, but i used the beth font for this comic, so that's cool because hand-lettering in krita is a gd pain in the ass

The first time he kissed her there had been snow on the ground. Only three weeks later, under the hazy cool evening light with snowflakes caught in their hair, he whispered softly that he loved her. He’d never said that to anyone before, never meant it in the way he did for Beth. The way Daryl fell for her felt like the falling of snow; gentle, quiet and so light at first you don’t even realise it’s happening.

So, it’s been a while! Between house issues, a 4 year old starting school and finding out I was pregnant back in September, I’ve had no time to dedicate to writing over the past few months which has made me really sad. I was, however, determined to contribute something to BHF24 in some way so here it is!

There is another idea in my WIP doc for “ribbons” which will unfortunately have to wait until I can write it the way I want to, along with finishing the chapters/one-shots I currently have in the works too (along with an epic multi-chapter idea I have been slowly nurturing for the past year based on “Timeless” by Taylor Swift which I plan on writing in its entirety before posting).

For now though, I wish you all a very happy Christmas & new year. Thank you for all the love and support always. I’ll be back in the new year with more Bethyl love 🖤❤️

Macabre, Bones and Shadows | Chapter 1 - Macabre

This is my contribution to #bhf24. There will be three chapters total.

We follow Beth and Daryl at the funeral home as they find their footing living alone together.

Sure, he was crass and rough around the edges. But there, that night, in the kitchen of the abandoned funeral home, those edges didn't seem quite so sharp.

Excited to post my first ever Bethyl Holidays Fest fic! And my first ever time sharing a fic on Tumblr!

(Though to be fair, I'm somehow that one person who's been reading fanfic since before Ao3 existed, and a millennial and yet somehow never really got into Tumblr. I feel like a grandma on one of those internet commercials who is just completely inept at technology.)
