So the thing is that I’m like 98.7% sure that Alexander Hamilton was a raging bisexual, now, before you rant at me, I actually didn’t originally set out to find out about his sexuality, I just wanted to know what the fuck made this guy’s writing so fucking good. In my search, I stumbled across digital breadcrumbs that eventually lead me to some of his letters in correspondence with John Laurens, now I also did my research on exactly how much affection people tended to show in written/verbal form during the time period (because he uses the word “love” like 1700 times per paragraph), and it does turn out that during the time period the “no homo” rule was a lot looser, the use of the word “love” was more conversational, and more often than not, was used platonically. What you can fight me on is the fact that this fucker pretty much invited Laurens to a threesome with his wife, and really only didn’t because a) Laurens was in Pennsylvania, and b) his wife was not at all interested. I quote, “I wish you were at liberty to transgress the bounds of Pensylvania. I would invite you after the fall to Albany to be witness to the final consummation. My Mistress is a good girl, and already loves you because I have told her you are a clever fellow and my friend; but mind, she loves you a l'americaine not a la francoise” The reason I argue for bisexual is that he not only married a woman (although I believe he would have even if he was the gayest man to ever live, the time period was not the most accepting), but he cheated on his wife with a woman, and therefore, is most definitely attracted to women. Please feel free to debate with me on this topic, I’m itching for someone to fight, as well as the fact that I tend to be really bad at knowing when what comes out of my mouth (or computer) actually has any basis in reality, or if it can be understood. Also, although I checked out my sites, please give me links to prove me wrong I do not want to go my whole life believing information that isn’t true because I was too much of a prideful asshole to listen when people showed me I was wrong.
