We are proud to announce the inauguration of the Gastro & Colono Videoscope at BIACH&RI, generously donated by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL).

The inauguration was led by our Chairman, Padma Bhushan Awardee Shri Nandamuri Balakrishna Garu, along with Trust Board Member Shri JSR Prasad Garu, CEO Dr. K. Krishnaiah Garu, Medical Director Dr. T. Subramaneyswara Rao Garu, Medical Superintendent Dr. Phani Koteswara Rao Garu, CFO Shri Alwar Narayanan Garu, and Dr. Senthil J. Inauguration of Renovated Patient Rooms (Supported by Kia India Pvt. Ltd.)

We are delighted to share the inauguration of the Renovated Patient Rooms at BIACH&RI, supported by Kia India Pvt. Ltd.

The ceremony was led by our Chairman, Padma Bhushan Awardee Shri Nandamuri Balakrishna Garu, together with Trust Board Member Shri JSR Prasad Garu, CEO Dr. K. Krishnaiah Garu, Medical Director Dr. T. We are delighted to share that the Oncology Nursing Seminar, organized by the Indo‑American College of Nursing in association with Basavatarakam Indo‑American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute (BIACH&RI), was successfully conducted on 21st February 2026. The seminar brought together more than 350 nursing students and professionals from across the two Telugu states, along with clinicians and academic experts, for a full day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration.

The inauguration was graced by distinguished leaders including Padma Shri Awardee Dr. P. Raghu Ram (Founder, Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation; Director, KIMS‑Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Diseases) as Chief Guest. He was joined by BIACH&RI leadership — Dr. K. Krishnaiah (Chief Executive Officer), Dr. Kalpana Raghunath (Associate Director, Academics), Dr. Phani Koteswara Rao (Medical Superintendent), Shri Alwar Narayanan (Chief Financial Officer), Dr. K. Kalyan Chakravarthi (Deputy Director, Academics) — along with Prof. Ch. Nagamani (Principal, Indo‑American College of Nursing) and Prof. Ivy Dias (Principal). Their presence and guidance set the tone for a day of academic excellence and professional growth.

The seminar featured insightful sessions by an expert panel including Dr. L.M. Chandrasekhara Rao, Dr. M.V.T. Krishna Mohan, Dr. Abubacker Zakir Ali, Dr. Vibhavari Naik, Dr. B. Valli, Dr. Veerendra C Patil, Mr. Joseph John Crasto, and Mrs. Sreevani K. Topics ranged from vascular access devices and oncological emergencies to pediatric oncology care, mindfulness in nursing, nuclear medicine therapeutics, colorectal cancer nursing, and innovations in ambulatory care with ethical considerations for AI in nursing.

This program highlighted the vital role of oncology nurses in delivering compassionate, evidence‑based cancer care and improving patient outcomes across every stage of treatment. With overwhelming participation, rich academic content, and practical insights, the seminar stood out as a meaningful step forward in advancing oncology nursing excellence and collaborative cancer care in the Telugu states.

We sincerely thank all the faculty, speakers, and delegates whose enthusiastic participation and contributions made this seminar a grand success.

Today, we reflect with deep respect and gratitude on the 28th anniversary of the passing of our beloved founder, guiding force, and visionary, Late Padma Shri Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Garu.

Dr. NTR's indomitable spirit, charisma, and unwavering commitment to social welfare continue to inspire generations. His contributions to cinema, politics, and society at large have left an enduring mark, shaping the ethos of our institution, Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute.

As we pay tribute, let's remember the profound impact of Dr. NTR's legacy. His vision to provide compassionate healthcare and his dedication to serving humanity fuel our mission to this day.

We had an amazing morning today as doctors, staff, and students from Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, Apollo Hospitals, AIG Hospital, and IMA Telangana came together to participate in a health walk from our hospital to KBR Park. Led by Dr. T. SUBRAMANYESHWAR RAO, Medical Director of BIACH&RI and IMA Telangana, this walk was organized as part of the World Health Day celebrations with the theme of "Building a Fairer, Healthier World". We are proud to be part of IMA Telangana's efforts to promote "Health for All", and we thank everyone who participated in this event. Let's continue to prioritize our health and work towards a fairer, healthier world!

Inauguration Success & A Special Thanks to Our Donor! We are excited to announce the successful inauguration of Day Care-II at Basavataram Indo-American Cancer Hospital & RI! We were honored to have the presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan, Hon'ble Governor of Telangana & Hon'ble Lt. Governor of Puducherry, along with our respected Chairman Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna and other distinguished guests. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous donor, Sri Rajasekhar, Chairman of Rekha Rajasekhar Foundation, for his invaluable support in making this facility a reality. Your contribution will make a significant impact on our ability to provide the best possible care to our patients. The event began with garlanding of Sri NTR and Smt Basavatarakam statues, followed by the official ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Hon'ble Governor. Our guests then proceeded to the Day Care-II facility, where they were briefed on the state-of-the-art beds and equipment available to provide the highest quality care for our patients. The program continued in the auditorium with a warm welcome address by our CEO, Dr. R V Prabhakara Rao, followed by speeches from our Chairman and other dignitaries. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by our Medical Director, Dr. T Subramanyeshwar Rao, and the National Anthem. We are grateful for the support we have received from everyone involved in making this event a success. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
