Happy Friday!
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 10:32-33

TSDN - 001 Don't Answer Before You Hear It is very easy to get into trouble when one enters into an agreement without first reading and fully understand the terms of that contract. On Today's Episode we are looking at that issue.

Many people do not pay attention to what they hear or read. They tend to make important decisions based on the little information they have received without listening to the full story and thus get into trouble.
This is true in many areas of communication.

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 NLT http://bible.com/116/1ti.4.12.NLT
“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life. John 5:24 NLT http://bible.com/116/jhn.5.24.NLT
Day 6 out of 365
Read: Genesis 19-21 (I think)
Subject: Soddom and Gomorrah are destroyed, but Lot survives. Before that, angels visit Lot and citizens of Soddom or Gomorrah (can't remember) want to sleep with the guests. Lot offers up his own daughters, but the angels have to blind the assailants before they leave. Abraham and Sarah meet another powerful man whose name I don't remember and say again that they are siblings. God intervenes before the man can sleep with Sarah through a dream. The man gives Abraham a bunch of property again. Sarah has Isaac and Hagar and Ishmael are sent away. They almost dehydrate but God keeps his promise to make Ishmael the father of a great nation and saves them. Abraham and the powerful man from earlier make a treaty. And Lot's daughters rape their father in an attempt to continue the family line.
Thoughts: Perhaps some will think it's blasphemy to say so, but I can't stand the destruction of Soddom and Gomorrah, nor anything about Lot in this reading. It's just horrible to me. You might say it's good the people in those cities are punished, but I'm a hopeful universalist. As far as I understand the term, it means you don't want anyone to go to hell. You hope everyone will end up in heaven. That doesn't mean I think that'll happen, it means that I hope so. To me, that's the most love-your-enemies position you can take on hell. Anyway, I don't like this part (except about Hagar, I like her a lot) but that doesn't mean I'll lose my faith over it. It does mean that I'd like for God to help me understand it better.
This post is a mess, but I'm tired, and these are my thoughts.

The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17, He will truly quiet you with His love. You know that peace that just consumes you, when you would usually be somewhat nervous, but now you're overcome with His peace. ✨Mmm, just wonderful✨
