homophobes will harp on the two (2) verses on Leviticus about sex between men but when you ask them about the entire chapter (25) dedicated to letting the land rest every seven years and not overworking it, freeing the indentured, returning properties sold by debtors, and supporting destitute family SUDDENLY we don't follow Levitical law anymore
i'm taking a class on the old testament from a catholic perspective and the professor had to say "i know we are catholic and there is a strong urge to just not read the biblical readings. but you have to do it! just trudge through it and do it, it will help your understanding of the bible if you read it." and he was serious.
