Do you or your family live in the Philippines?
My parents have a high maintenance senior dog that can no longer be cared for by my brother (as he will be starting an internship in a hospital). My parents will be returning to Canada this week, and have not had the foresight to make arrangements for the dog. While I continue to encourage them to find a way to bring the dog back (if only to be surrendered, because they are in the country only for 6 months of the year), I worry that they will have to leave her there.
If you or a family member might be interested in adopting a Bichon-Shih Tzu cross, or if you might know who I can reach out to, please let me know.
I am not in a financial situation to be able to take the dog myself, and my apartment does not allow animals.
Please share this post! It breaks my heart to think that the only option will be to put Angel down. I want to do my best to ensure that she can live out her days with someone who will love and care for her. She needs to find a forever home by April 16th, ideally in the Metro Manila area.
Contact [email protected] if you can help in any way, please!

About Angel:
Angel is an adorable 13 year old Bichon-Shih Tzu mix who is originally from Canada. She needs minimal exercise and is a perfect weight because she doesn't over eat. Unfortunately, she has allergies to most vet recommend and prescribed brands of kibble, so she is fed a home cooked meal of brown rice, meat, and vegetables twice a day. She is trained to do her business outside, but prefers staying indoors where it's nice and cool, especially because ticks seem to love her. She is also prone to ear infections. Despite her age, she still has a lot of spunk, and loves to play! Both her eyes have cataracts, so she might have trouble navigating stairs sometimes. She doesn't shed, but she needs to be groomed regularly, and does not do well with groomers she doesn't know (but I am told there is one in the area that she likes). As she is highly treat motivated, there is plenty of opportunity to help train her. She loves to hang out, and likes to cuddle. Her biggest fears are the sound of wind, fireworks, and gunshots, and wouldn't mind if you held her while she was scared!
