Question for folks who have had top surgery (AND IF YOU HAVE HAD SURGERY WITH DR. ADAM TOBIAS SPECIFICALLY)
Does anyone know the threshold for how much you need to be draining for them to take the drains out? I am DYING to have them out and the last empty I did was a total of 32 over 16 hours.
I am 10 days post op and FINALLY got to shower 😍
My drains came out today, my nipple grafts are already pinking up, and the compression thingy is not bad at all.
A note - Dr. Tobias’ nurse, Maria, is amazing and told me to show up at 8 AM without an appointment and she would take my drains out. I did, and she did, and I didn’t feel a goddamn thing. So, I know it depends from surgeon to surgeon and nurse to nurse, but know that all the stuff you see about it hurting seriously may not be true for you. Maria credited Dr. Tobias’ drain placement and the fact that she takes out like a thousand drains a year. So yeah, didn’t feel anything whatsoever.
