⁣ Samsung Galaxy Note 10+⁣ Taken on 18/01/2020.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ * Repost *⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Italy was unquestionably going through a tough time earlier this year.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ To borrow a quote from the American author Dean Koontz: "Even in the darkest moments, light exists if you have the faith to see it". As soon as I came across this quote, it brought back flashbacks of my trip to Biella on a cold winter's morning in January.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Like in this photo taken in Piazza Cisterna in the upper district of Biella, the strong, bright sunlight made the vibrant colours of all the old houses in the square shine through, creating a kind of rainbow effect.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Even with a wide-lens camera, it isn't possible to capture the entire square, but here are two running snapshots of three colourful buildings under which people can enjoy a delicious Spritz and catch up with friends.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Back in March when I'd originally posted these joint photos, I predicted that as soon as the darkest moments passed, many people would rediscover the colourful streetscape and landscape that Italy has to offer. And I think my prediction was, with a wave of relief, correct. Lots of Italians are being reminded of the beautiful country that is Italy.
