“Ugh... ow, ow, ow...”

Cradling his overstuffed stomach as he leaned against the counter, Mallow took shallow breaths to try and curb the stomachache building in his belly. With the top of his gut flopped onto the display case, he was glad his apron still covered most of his stomach, since there was no way his shirt was going to do that. Not when his belly was so red and taut that it looked like a balloon; hard as a rock underneath that layer of plushness.

There was no way that Mallow could understand why so many of his customers were so bad at finishing their meals. Tons of them were bigger than he was, so why was it that they’d leave so much food behind. Why order a dozen doughnuts if you’re only going to eat one? Why order a whole cake when you only take one slice?

All that food had to go somewhere, so once the customers left his bakery and kept all those goodies just laying around... well, someone has to eat them. It’d be a waste to just let them spoil, so down his gullet they went, munching on whatever leftovers they forgot as he cleaned their tables.

And now here he was, struggling with her tree trunk legs to remain standing under the weight of his own tummy. Today was especially bad for his overtaxed digestion, but at least he was closing soon, so there was no way-
