Dear big Oppa,

It may sound odd, but from the first day we’ve met, it felt like our encounter was fated at that precise moment. I don’t understand how and why specifically, but I am more than grateful and thankful that our paths crossed when my mind let my darkest feelings take over. I’m still sorry that your first impression of me is the opposite from who I really am. I’m still sorry that you have seen me lifeless and struck with immense sorrow, forcing a fake smile constantly.

Still, we have gone through a similar situation, yours being done before mine. Seeing you going forward in life keeps me motivated to do the same. I know I haven’t completely lost myself, and I am slowly gathering the pieces back. Lately, I am feeling better. I’ve noticed how my mood seems to lighten up in company of amazing people and even new faces.

Slowly, I am noticing many things I almost forgot that make me smile so effortlessly. I know I’m still far from the cheerful and bubbly Juniel you have not yet met, but slowly and surely, you will be able to see her.

Thank you for taking care of me like an older brother would. Thank you for being by my side and supporting me. Thank you for dealing with my depressive self whenever it happens out of the blue.

Juniel just returned from her unannounced semi-hiatus at work. She thought that in order to get back to her bubbly self, she has to get rid of the solemn atmosphere she had imposed on herself for two weeks now. The head waitress was doing quite well at the moment, completely determined about her new goals.

As she was cleaning a few tables, she heard something and quickly turned around to see Yoon. “Oh! Oppa!” Clueless of what he said, she unplugged her earphones and blinked. “Did you say something? I couldn’t hear you earlier— Hehe…”
