Friends, I am like so excited to tell you about great Doctor Who fanfic that has just debuted on AO3. It's called "Am I... Ginger?" and it's written by one of the most creative thoughtful authors that I have found in the world of fanfiction, The_Red_Rabbit.
AIG has been 9 years in the making. I found a previous draft of it on another site and fell in love, the kind of love that makes you tune out your life and everyone in it, saying "just lemme finish this chapter!" too frequently.
Anyone who's a fan of the Tenth Doctor will be hooked as well. Even if you're not big into Doctor Who the depths of this story, multifaceted characters, and all of the antics and mysteries they encounter will take you for an incredible ride. It includes characters from Sarah Jane Adventures, Torchwood, and Doctor Who brilliantly harmonized bye a dedicated fan who incorporates music to add yet another dimension to an amazing saga.
This latest draft does nothing to overshadow the previous one. It adds new dimension, images, and emotions with which many people can identify. Along with the adventures these characters face intense struggles with challenging topics such as sexual identity, self-harm, suicide and life after chronic abuse. It's only semi fiction, or rather inspired by very close-to-home tragedies coupled with the bravery and resilience of the original character.
What's the catch? You have to wait (im)patiently for every new chapter release to continue the amazing ride. But since the work itself is virtually complete, I anticipate you won't have to wait long.
I would like to thank The_Red_Rabbit for allowing me to collaborate on the latest edition. You are absolutely amazing. I know there's been times in your life where you feel so alone, but I identify so much with both your struggles and resilience and I know that there are many people out there who will as well.
