Think of the direwolves in Game of Thrones for the size of Remus as a werewolf. Just saying. None of the hairless rat that was in PoA movie. HE’S BIG AND FLUFFY. Still can stand on his hind legs like a bear and it’s terrifying. But with the wolfsbane potions he’s not scary, just a big wolf curled up and minding his own business. Also his eyes are still light blue which is a key sign it’s him since adult wolves don’t retain the blue eyes but turn grey.

When he gets annoyed by next doors dogs barking, his fur stands up and we jokingly call it his mane.

Remus had never experienced this sort of awareness as a wolf. By his count of sunsets, this was his fourth day stuck in this form after waking up still a beast the morning after the full moon. It was scary, sure, but at least he had his own mind and wasn’t stuck as a savage beasts with the only goal of biting humans in mind.
Big paws pounded into the earth as Remus ran, ears pressing back anxiously at the sound of shouting from some distance behind him. Bounding over a fallen tree before he zigzagged in a sharp turn to try to throw the hunters off. Outrunning them was proving to be a problem as he was already hurt, his sides and shoulder were bloody, matted down fur from self inflicted bites and scratches. Ears flicked back forward, turning slightly as he listened on ahead. He could smell someone upwind, so, turning sharply again, he changed his course through the trees.
A good twenty minutes later, it seemed like he’d successfully avoided the hunters and could rest for a bit. It was rather needed too. The werewolf whined slightly as it bent lower to slip under a fallen tree propped up on a large boulder. He ungracefully plopped down on the side that was less scratched up and lay there panting, blue eyes watching in front of him for any movement. Ears twitched at the familiar crack of apparation. The person he smelled earlier. He could smell him again and could now see a freckled face peer around a tree. A head of floppy hair and a long blue coat. Remus was on his feet once the man stepped out slightly, a brown leather case and wand in hand. The sight of the latter filled Remus with both relief and fear. Should he growl and try to frighten the wizard off, or try to make it clear he wasn’t a normal wolf? Acting aggressive would probably not get him anywhere, so instead he whined softly, backing back up beneath his tree, waiting to see what the man might do.
