Night Witches at BigBadCon! I’ve owned it since the Kickstarter but this is the first chance I’ve actually had to play. The setting is terrific - the Soviet airwomen of WWII - and rife with conflict, drama, and suspicion. It’s a very typical Jason Morningstar design, great setting, great structure, a little weak on the actual game systems. I think it’s probably ideal for one-shot or short-term play, but the systems really seem balanced for long-term play. This is the first chance I’ve had to play the Apocalypse Engine, which seems fine if not exactly spectacular.
