I ran a Nob4 playtest twice at the con! The first group told a story of coming out of depression and facing life again, incidentally reclaiming human access to Eden as a metaphorical grace note. The second group engaged in an extended meditation on empty nest syndrome and found vs. given families. Both groups used Grief-based divination to find a lost phone.
(The first story feels mostly obvious only in retrospect. It's possible the players saw it earlier than I did, or even that they'll disagree about it---I'll post a longer log later, I think, and see if any of the players find this post or that one to comment---but it feels like it's only at the end that the story of that game really became clear.
The second story ... it feels like everyone got on board the metaphor early, but not so much as the thing people wanted to talk about, but rather the central constellating force at the center of the related things each player individually wanted to talk about.)
It was a lot of fun!
I also ran the Far Roofs, which was lovely. The players named one of the rats Dang and like seriously what a perfect name for a Fortitude rat. Six PCs ascended to the roofs to hunt the numinous; and, four returned.
