.: @bigbadwolf FREESTYLE Pop-Up 8course Dinner:. Another great pop up event in SF great meal first starting off with my favorite Deviled Eggs. The eggs had Fresh anchovies, yuzu-herb aioli, pickled garlic, ghost pepper crisps, and roasted redpepper puree. Then there was pumpkin porridge which had rendered duck fat, mochi balls, black sesame umami, toasted pine nuts and chili oil. It felt like something an asian mom would make on a cold day from left overs in a fridge from a big dinner the night before. super tasty. next was the super fresh crab salad which had pea leafs, cucumbers, seaweed, mint, edamame, wasabi-honey vinaigrette. so fresh and it had a spicy hit that would open up your senses. next was the shiso soju shooter to cleanse the pallete. The chicken thigh skewers and rice was bomb i ate it like a wrap where i took the meat off the skewer and then put it in the leaf and rice and ate it like a fresh taco. soo good it was a tease totally wanted another leaf with rice. Then the three beer battered skrimp came out and i was in love. the addition of the sweet chili and garlic sauce on the skrimp again made these tease belly telling me to get more of that. the main dish was a kimchi pork meatball w/ kimchi-adobo-fire roasted tomatoes with a perfectly grilled tartine bread. omg the combo was great i felt like it was the perfect thing to complete the entire set minus the awesome sweet rice poof with vanilla bean swirl and frozen grape dessert with jasmine tea dessert at the very end.
