Ten Anime that really stuck with me...
1. NGE, it was the first I ever really watched I guess, my brother got a box set from a con waaaaaay back, I didn't really make much of it when I first saw it, other than to be amazed by the fact that one of the episodes aired the day I was born, but it had giant robots so it was cool as fuck. I watched the whole series and movies again and other than the production quality being better in the reboot (way better) I paid more attention to what it was trying to get across and it's a really powerful anime.
2. Fucking Nardo, that shit is nearly ending and I've only been with it for a couple of years, can't imagine what it's like for the people who started back in '99. It's good shit.
3. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki kun, cos I mean, it's amazing. Just, fantabulous.
4. RWBY, Not sure if this counts, but Rooster Teeth is one of the coolest things in my life and RWBY is definitely some top notch production they're pumping out.
5. FMP, Fummoffu is a great laugh and TSR is where the most bad ass mecha fight scenes I've seen take place, it's a pity that not much more is likely to be animated, but Sigma is a good read.
6. Stein's gate, this one I haven't finished, I'm only at episode...7? I think, but I bought the blue ray at a con thanks to a certain someone who will be tagged later based on their recommendation. It looks great, the story is looking really juicy and it's nice that they don't try and shove it all down your throat at once, they mix in some good humor (hehehe should I say that again?)
7. Toradora. It was a really cute story and, if a little predictable, I still really liked the characters.
8. Five cm per second. Fuck that story, I'll never get over it, it's too damn real.
9. ANGEL BEATS. Too short, but so good none the less, really top notch story that plays on a couple of different interpritations of the afterlife and really allowed me to connect to the idea, not cos I died in a tragic way, but because, being a Buddhist, it's nice to see how it might work.
10. School rumble, oh man... it's, it's everything you need in an anime and theres a 300 chapter manga to go with it, I love it.
