Kaito shivered and pulled his scarf tighter, although not tight enough to put pressure on the still-burning marks. The city was a good place to hide at night- enough people to get lost in, without being overly crowded.
He kept his head down as he walked, looking at his feet- and, naturally, this meant he crashed right into someone. "Ah! Sorry, sorry, I'm sorry!" he quickly stammered, going to help them up. "I didn't see you, I'm so sorry!"
Once he got a glimpse of them from the streetlight, however, he paused. "Hey... aren't you one of the new Vocaloids? From Internet?" He perked up. "It's nice to finally meet you! I'm Kaito, you may not really know me, aha, but, you see, I was one of the first Vocaloids, before Miku was even picked up. It's nice to meet you! Sorry for bumping into you, though." He laughed nervously.

Kaito shivered slightly, drawing his coat closer to himself. Meiko had been drinking again, and he could sense one of her rages coming on; so, making some flimsy excuse about being out of orange juice (since when did either of them drink orange juice, anyways?), he slipped out of the house. He'd pay for that later, but for now, he was (relatively) safe.
Wandering the path of a small park, he looked around, still feeling a bit on edge- he always was whenever he did this. After all, it was only a matter of time until Meiko went to find him some time when he did this. And he wasn't just worried for his sake if she did- what if she went driving while drunk and got into an accident for his sake? He'd never be able to forgive himself. He turned the corner, and--
Gulp.
"O-oh, hi, Meiko! When did you get here?" Kaito stammered nervously, standing up straighter. He squinted through the dark. Something was off. She was wearing something different- the costume for Tsugai Kogarashi, he recognized. She certainly hadn't been wearing that when he left. And it wasn't as if she had a tendency to dress up in old PV costumes randomly and go out. "Why are you wearing that? Wait... are you actually Meiko?" Maybe it was a cosplayer. Kaito relaxed a bit, letting out a breath as he waited for the answer.
