🤒🐱 Thank you to everyone who commented on our recent stories about Alice not feeling well (see update below 😿). When Alice would eat some food, it would give me some comfort to know that she was getting real nutrition. I knew her raw unprocessed nutrient dense diet was the best thing I could provide to her, to help her, it is another reason that we believe in a raw diet for our pets. #bigcountryraw #sponsored (📷 @hollysisson) #cat #Siberiancat @bestmeow #bestmeow ~ If missed it, Alice was not behaving like herself, she wasn’t really eating well (which she has done before), and was drinking water (which she also doesn’t usually do (they have lots of fluids with their raw diet), but we have seen her do in the past), but then she was hiding under furniture, plus just not acting like her normal self. 🐱 Many of you don’t know that Alice has Polycystic kidney disease (PKD), I was convinced that it had reared its ugly head, and basically that she was dying (😭😭😭). When I took her to the vet, so they could take blood/urine samples, they found that she had a fever, but also took a quick peek at her kidneys and could see the cysts/masses in her kidneys. They sent me home with a broad range antibiotic for her, thinking that she could have an infection. 🐱 The next day the results came back, and, happy news! There was no sign (yet) of the PKD on her kidneys, I was so happy! This was last Saturday. On Sunday she seemed back to her usual self, after a few days of meds, she came and found me, jumped on my lap twice that morning to knead and purr, asked to go out on the deck, actually tucked into her bowl of raw food (slide to see video), instead of me having to feed her off a spoon.
