It was not a happy cake day.  I moved my birthday to tomorrow instead because today just was one long suckfest, from the cat pooping on a rug to the kid falling asleep in class and the angrygram I got from it to Doordash cancelling my cupcake delivery.

But hm, I mean, there’s a ship I’m interested in but I’m not sure if it’ll sail? You know damn well what I’m talking about too! But otherwise? No. She had a crush on a forsaken dude once, but the more time she spent with him the more she realized he was an egomaniac, arrogant fool. So there was never a chance for that to be more than a crush!

The forsaken set a plate before Cyri. It certainly could… look better. Seemed to be some sort of chunky, gray slurry piled onto a slice of toast.

“Eat,” Remy spoke up, gesturing her claws over to the platter, “It’s called Shit On a Shingle. Or if you wanna be real fancy about it, ‘Chipped Beef on Toast.’ Ma used ta make this fer me back on the lodge. Can’t get full on fancy, Cyri. After what ya went through as Crow? Might as well enjoy ya got teeth again.”

🐝 What stereotypical high school clique would they fit into?

Nath would’ve definitely been the class clown.

Is that a clique? It’s more like an archetype, I guess. Class clown with a side of occasional-troublemaker/truant. The good news is he’d probably be entirely cliqueless as he’d make friends with most of the school. The bad news is all the teachers would groan at the sight of his name on their rosters, and his grades would be in the depths of the shitter.

So, y’know. Just like usual.

Less of an unpopu - actually, you know what, hell with it.  I’m feeling imposter syndrome BAD today and this has been annoying me all morning.

Social Media sucks, and it sucks that it’s necessary if you want to do anything creative to get noticed.  

I’d like to branch into commissions, right?  So obviously, I use my tumblr since it has my highest follower count to showcase my work.  And then I make a twitter, and I have a DevArt and a growing ArtStation account.  Here’s the thing - it took years to get my follower count to where it is, and it’s comparatively small to many other RPers and artists.

Twitter?  Took a long time when I used it professionally to get a decent follower count.  DeviantArt?  Forget about it.  I’ve found that platform basically useless and I’m probably going to drop it.  Artstation is better but I’ve barely been on there a week so jury’s out, and I know it takes time to do anything with these tools.

Anyway - all of this is bugging me, and then today on Twitter I see, “Create art for YOURSELF!  Your follower count and the number of likes and retweets you get don’t mean ANYTHING because you’re WONDERFUL and your art is VALID”.  Which - cool?  I mean, I get the intent here, and I appreciate it but man if it doesn’t suck to get that pat on the back from someone who has managed to crack the code when I feel like I’m shouting into a hurricane here.

Okay.  /rant.  I’ll get over this, and this may get deleted later but it was cathartic to say.

Ooooooh boy.  So, I get trucks.  I don’t get the concept of owning some giant ass truck for shits and giggles when you don’t haul anything - like, save the gas money!

... that said, monster trucks are bitchin’.

I’ve always liked sandwich fillings more than the bread they’re on.  I want a better solution for bread.  And yes, this is partially borne out of not being able to eat most of it. :<
