Throwback Thursday: From 2006, this is the earliest (and first?) ‘serious’ costume I have photos of: me as Indiana Jones for Halloween.
The hat was an old ‘campaign’ hat / drill sergeant type felt hat, which I re-shaped with hot water and stuffing it full of towels (not super accurate). I’d had that for some years before this photo was taken. The shirt, pants and shoes were all standard pieces from my closet (also not super accurate). The pistol holster was made by me from a sheet of brown EVA craft foam, held together with staples and a large brad. The gas mask bag / satchel was made by my mom (again, not super accurate). Honestly, the only thing missing is a whip.
... And yes, I wore this to work and school... Explains a lot
