TBT: Halloween 2011: me as 2015 Doc Brown from Back to the Future Part II (1990).

There’s a sort of weird hybrid here, of costume pieces from different parts of the film. I’m wearing the yellow Hawaiian shirt and cargo pants from later, over the red shirt & clear tie from earlier. The yellow shirt was a replica purchased online. The red one I already had. I cut the clear plastic necktie out of a shower curtain I bought for that purpose. Belt and pants are mine. The cheap wig came from a store, and the silver ‘sunglasses’ are cut out of metallic silver cardstock and affixed to the wig.

Throwback Thursday: From 2006, this is the earliest (and first?) ‘serious’ costume I have photos of: me as Indiana Jones for Halloween.

The hat was an old ‘campaign’ hat / drill sergeant type felt hat, which I re-shaped with hot water and stuffing it full of towels (not super accurate). I’d had that for some years before this photo was taken. The shirt, pants and shoes were all standard pieces from my closet (also not super accurate). The pistol holster was made by me from a sheet of brown EVA craft foam, held together with staples and a large brad. The gas mask bag / satchel was made by my mom (again, not super accurate). Honestly, the only thing missing is a whip.

... And yes, I wore this to work and school... Explains a lot
