explaining the group/gang part 2/5: Diagramms of the hierarchy and more explanations
Ok so the Ranges show how close they are to being first in command, usually no one under First Range will ever, just because there’s always someone from them there and the ppl under first range don’t wanna/see themselves fit to be first in command, so it works out.
The Rows show the dominant/submissive dynamics in the group anyone under someone else usually submits to them in some way, they don’t have to but most do.
The second in command is usually very close with the first and usually not as submissive towards them, aka they are more on an equal level. (Still not completely tho)
the only exception to this is Vienna and j, when j is first and Vienna second, she is completely submissive to him. Her position in upper row still remains because she is still dominant toward everyone else
then there’s j and Azur, az is j‘s sub but because he is the highest in command‘s sub he has a high status (range) and is mostly second in command when Vienna is not there and is then either in the same position that Vienna is to j or in the usual upper row to high row dynamic
That’s about it for now, please ask any questions you may have!
So this is kinda the dom/sub part of this whole ordeal so content warning for that i guess
So in the group, there's the first in command and the second in command.
usually, when j isn't there, vienna is first in command, meaning her job is to protect, stand up for and "provide" for everyone, aka make sure ppls needs are being met. ofc everyone still does some of that for each other, but she's kinda the one who takes on that role most of the time, mostly because she wants to. "provide" here means providing money etc to make sure everyones got everything they need, making sure everyone's on board with plans and generally planning stuff
the second in command is harley or mary, mostly. (when j isn't there). The second in command makes decisions when the first in command can't, their task is to make sure the first on command is fine, like not overwhelmed and is taking care of themselves (cus they make sure everyone else is okay so someone's gotta take care of them)
usually, the interactions between first in command and other members of the group are pretty power play vibey, when the first in command is there everyone is on their best behaviour
ofc in my current paracosm, viennas there basically everyday so her position as first in command is lot more casual than say j's or celia's.
now, to j. he is the first in command (obvi) whenever he's there, which then makes vienna second in command. he's also highest in command, which means no matter what, he is always first in command and everyone has to show their respect when he enters the room (by bowing their heads mostly, in private its a different world haha)
now here's the thing. usually the second in command is less submissive towards the first in command becaude of status and stuff
but with vienna and j, when j is first in command (whenever he's visiting), vienna still remains second in command but not because of status but rather because j has complete control over her during this, she is basically his sub during that time.
thats like that because its fun and cus vienna wanted it and i think its hot. no other reason haha
Ok now to the complicated stuff
In this hierarchy, there two (or three? idk yet) parts to it. One, the Ranges and two, the Rows. All/most of my characters are sorted somewhere there. The Ranges are how far removed/if they ever are in the position of second or first in command. I will post the diagram for it later
Then the Rows. The Row shows how dominant/submissive someone is, ppl in the upper Row will usually only submit to J, or sometimes Vienna and rarely someone from first row.
Someone could be in the first range and still be in like lower row, these two things have similarities but they are not the same
I will post both diagrams when they're done, this is about it so far, enjoy and please ask questions!
