It’ll take more than the apocalypse. || Teddy & Billy
When the outbreak started, Billy was unlucky enough to find himself on the other side of the city- surrounded by civilians that needed help and enough infected to make the situation intimidating. The rate in which the virus managed to spread was unreal, there wasn’t even a media reference he could make to describe the situation. His priority quickly switched from trying to stop zombies, to gathering as many civilians as he could and setting up a temporary safe house whilst he’d wait for the hoards to die down.
While there was no denying his magic was strong, keeping up something like a consistent barrier in addition to conjuring supplies, was understandably draining. It took time and most of his energy. He limited teleportation to only small distances, his focus on making sure the growing collection of survivors made it safe to where- well, wherever everyone went. The tower had been his first goal point- but by the time he had made it there, it was clear that, that ship had gone down. It had been a kick in the gut, but he didn’t dare let his thoughts travel anywhere other than that they had to be safe. That he had to be safe.
It was by a stroke of luck that one of their radios ended up picking up the frequency of Steve’s message. Finally having a clear destination in mind, he wasted no time in teleporting the survivors and himself to the front gates of haven.
As he let the civilians filter inside under the watchful eye of those aiming to help, he let himself relax for the first time in months. There was only one thought on his mind now- but the nagging of the nurse reminded him that he wasn’t an exception to the decontamination process. Billy almost protested, but there really was no such thing as overly cautious in a zombie apocalypse. He surrendered himself over- gratefully taking an efficient shower before they wanted to take blood for the lab. Quickly chatting up the nurses, they were eager to let him know that Teddy was indeed here, along with a myriad of other heroes. While waiting for for things to finish up, he had asked one of the volunteers to get someone to inform his boyfriend that he was finally here.
In the mean time, Billy waited patiently on the bed- relieved in the fact he was laying on something that he hadn’t conjured up for once.
