Wanda felt a sense of relief wash over her when she heard her sons voice. Though she had been gone, she never stopped worrying about or thinking about her kids. She turned towards his voice, a soft but bright smile appearing on her face. “No deep thoughts here.” she said, standing. She moved over to her son, reaching out to gently rest a hand on his cheek. “I’m so happy you’re safe, Billy.”

She let her hand linger for a moment before pulling it back, the smile still one her face. “It’s really good to see you.” she said. “I’m sorry I disappeared like I did, I should have let you know I was leaving. I hope you can forgive me for that.”

Wanda looked back towards the couch before looking at her son. “Would you like to join me?” she asked. “It would be nice to spend some time with you.”

When her eyes fell on him, he felt an innate sense of comfort, one unique only to her. The words 'past' and 'life' were usually thrown around in his mind whenever they were together, accompanying the bizarre sensation of familiarity. The mutant leaned into her touch, her fingers warm on his cheek.

"I'm so glad you're safe." Even if out of everyone, he hadn't ever been quite as worried about her. It was no secret to anyone how powerful she was. Wanda knew how to take care of herself, it was one of the things he had always admired about her as a kid. He’d reserved the anxiety for his boyfriend and teammates.

Billy was quick to shake his head at the apology, "Don't be silly. There's nothing to forgive." Sure, he had missed her, but if there was one person who'd understand needing to get away from everyone- well, it'd be him.

"I'd love too," He was quick to accept the offer, of course. As if he'd ever turn down an opportunity to bond with his mother (And still favorite avenger.)

"It was quite the wild ride here, let me tell you that." he began almost immediately once he sat down, crossing one of his legs of his knee. Any previous awkwardness he felt gone apparently, as he couldn't have sounded more casual now. Curiosity now peaking in his eyes.

"Did you- did you come back at the start of all this? Or, did you travel over here to haven?"

Teddy watched Billy make his way around the room and smiled as Billy spoke. “Right? So many things we won’t get to see the end of. I just imagine that Dany got the throne and her and Tyrion are chilling in King’s Landing.” He walked over to the bed and sat down; his smile fading a bit before he explained.

“No, actually, just me and Kate.” Teddy frowned and said, “I’m sure Tommy is ok. He’s like Pietro, the zombies can’t bite what they cannot catch.” 

It wasn’t the answer he was hoping for, but the one he thought he’d hear. Billy’s smile faded a bit as well, but he didn’t let himself frown. No, he’d have enough time to mindlessly worry about the whereabouts of his brother when he wasn’t in the midst of an already impossibly lucky reunion. “Oh, yeah. Totally. I feel more bad for the zombies that have to deal with him,” He jokes in passing, purposely dropping the subject as he sits next to Teddy, no hesitation as he interlocks their fingers together. “So, I’m sure we both have amazing and exciting tales of our zombie adventures,” Sarcasm, defiantly sarcasm. “But a couple months back we came across the tower and it was totally wrecked. Is there a story here or was haven always the option?”

Walking Around Haven (Open)

Since arriving at Haven, Wanda had found herself at a bit of a loss at what to do. She helped out where she could and when she was asked, but for the most part she felt as if she was just getting in the way of things.Her plan was to speak with Tony, since he seemed to be leading everything, but things have been so chaotic, she hadn’t had a chance to find him.

Time found her wandering through Haven, learning where everything is, who everyone was. There were times she considered approaching her old friends, but fear always won in the end, unsure if they’d be welcoming or not after all that has been said and done.

She sighed softly and sat down in front of a large window, pulling her legs up underneath her. She rested her elbow on the windowsill, chin resting in her hand as she stared out over the vast yard. The brunette watched as soldiers and the like moved around their stations, always on the look out for whatever may come at them.

Minutes ticked by, possibly hours as she continued to watch the world outside, wondering what she could do to be of more use.

Dealing with having two different families through things like divorce and adoption were fairly normal in this day and age. Billy's circumstances, however, had always been unique. Not many people could say they had a soul family on top of their birth one. Even more dramatic, it just so happened he had a soul twin- and they both belonged to arguably the most well known mutant family that's existed.   After confirming that Wanda was indeed his mom, it made sense why she had always been his favorite avenger- there always had been a comforting, nostalgic feeling whenever he had seen her in a comic or on the news.   There was no doubt she was extremely important to him, even if they hadn't really had time to grow close to one another. It didn't help that she had been gone even before the infected took over.   After hearing she was here in haven- he jumped at the chance to find her. Chatting around with few of the people around the complex, it wasn't long until someone had told him where she was was and he wasted no time in heading over to the specified room. It was surreal seeing her and even more so trying to address her- always caught between Mom and Wanda, even if the latter usually always won.   Billy knocked against the door frame, a smile working it's way thorough whatever awkwardness he might've felt.   "Uh- Sorry, don't want to interrupt any....deep personal reflection or thoughts. Just wanted to- y’know  say hi."

Kate still had her eyes on the dog, and watching him suddenly change his direction after a yellow tennis ball that she swore she threw the other way, she knew there had to be another person behind this.

More specifically behind her. The voice made her jump, but it was also a voice she was very much used to hearing…—and loving very fondly.

“Billy!” There was time to listen to his words later, but first a hug was in order. Which she gave him; the biggest bear hug she could muster. What could she say? Billy Kaplan was her favourite dude-slash-teammate-slash-friend. And he was in Haven. “I thought you’d never get here!” 

The raven haired girl could only shrug, watching Lucky run back with the ball. “Clint likes to keep him from doing that. But he’s got a great eye—and nose for detective work. He really seems to like bothering the chickens more, but what can he do? He’s never seen chickens before! Or greenery like this. Heck, neither have I!” 

Billy’s laugh was warm when Kate wrapped him up in a hug, which he returned with all the enthusiasm he could muster (and when Kate Bishop was involved, that amount was infinite!). He let his hands linger on her shoulders for a moment, just glad to see again her, even if the circumstances of their meeting kind of sucked.

“Never get here? C'mon, not you too! Out of everyone in the group, I totally had the most well thought out and top notch survival plan. I mean, sure, didn’t get to execute it- but the point still stands.” The mutant jokes, acting half offended before his eyes locked on the retriever again. Since access to YouTube wasn’t really a luxury at the moment, it was nice to be able to get the ‘cute animal’ fix from somewhere.

“Am I going to get to see you chase chickens too? 'Cause that’d be the real best thing.” He teased, nudging her with his shoulder. Being raised in the city, Billy hadn’t really seen it either until he wanted to impress Teddy; They used to frequent it for stargazing, but, dates night had been off the table since this all started.

“I bet he really was a great detective dog. I was imagining you two as, like, an epic duo In L.A.. Like- Arya and Nymeria. Except solving mysteries instead of over the top violent stuff. Okay, well, a little bit of the violent stuff.” He joked easily as Lucky ran back over to the duo with the Tennis ball proudly in his mouth. Not missing the opportunity, Billy immediately went to pet him.

“How’d you guys make it over here?”

Billy couldn’t help but laugh again as Teddy picked him up, gratefully leaning his against his shoulder. It was nice to hear that Kate made it to haven, he had no doubt that she’d find herself with the main group in any type of emergency situation. If not practically leading whatever force she was apart of.

“I mean, really, am I ever actually anyone else’s?” He says jokingly, the grin on his face growing that much wider as they arrived to the room. He shifted to gently get out of Teddys arms, opting to take a look around at the random items Teddy had collected.

“Well, you do have a special knack for making places feel like home.” The mutant compliments, speaking more toward his presence than actual decor taste.

“Y'know, one of the many travesties of this entire thing is that we were /so/ close to having the last season of game of thrones.” He mused, eyeing some of the geeky paraphernalia before his gaze wondered over one of the photos of them and the old team.

“You said Kate’s here…what about Cassie? Eli?” He paused for a moment, cautious to even ask. “..Tommy?”

KATE and OPEN

It was easy to lose track of time when things around Haven happened slowly. Although, it wasn’t your average summer time slow, but still. Getting in the lull of things just made the laziness settle in Kate’s bones. She missed her Netflix accounts, and she was trying her best not to use up her phone battery playing Candy Crush by doing chores around the place, but still.

It was hard not to be lazy in this place.

So, right now, she was playing chase with Lucky. He looked content, chasing chickens and sniffing at grass. Kate wondered if this was just as new to the dog as it was to her. She spent her summers at the beach, and she was born and bred a city girl at heart.

“Lucky, catch!” The archer flung the ball, and she watched the dog chase after it. “He’s so good at it, I swear…” This line was mostly to herself, as she found herself looking in the direction she thought the city was in.

When imagining the end of the world- Billy would have never pictured himself to be in a place so…nice? Fields of green rolling underneath the countryside sky, Stark really didn’t spare any expense when picking up this property. One could almost forget society as we knew it had crumbled under the weight of this disaster.

It was while strolling through the place did in the distance he was able to make out a women and the streak of gold that was her dog. Raven hair and posture that told you she could go from chilling out to kicking your ass in two seconds flat, it would be impossible for Billy not to recognize Kate Bishop. 

Letting a small smirk play on his lips, he waited until she threw the ball again. Billy mumbled a small spell to himself, remotely taking control of the ball and having it take an impossibly right turn mid-air. This barely threw Lucky off, easily switching his tact to keep up with his target.  

Teleportating next to her he was quick to agree, obviously impressed, “wow, he really is good at this, isn’t he?”

He flashed her the biggest grin he could.

“But being Hawkeye’s dog- I’m sure you’ve taught him to take down a bank robber one pawed by now!”

Teddy grinned at him and chuckled, “fair enough, I’d be rather disappointed in you after all those hours we logged into Call of Duty Zombies.” He happily gave Billy another kiss, wiping Billy’s tears away from his cheeks as he did so before he moved to press his forehead against Billy’s. 

As Billy leaned against him, Teddy wrapped his arms around the mutant and pressed a kiss to the top of Billy’s head and said, “I was worried but I knew at some point you’d come find me…” Rubbing his back he stayed there, enjoying the familiar feeling of Billy in his arms. Knowing that this moment was nothing less than a blessing that despite insurmountable odds, they had found each other again.

“You must be so tired,” Teddy said, looking at him, looking to the doctor he asked, “is he okay to go?” 

Relaxing in Teddy’s arms was enough to make everything he had been through worth it. Any residual stress or anxiety was relieved when Teddy rubbed his back and he found himself sighing pleasantly. For the first time since the outbreak happened things actually felt like they might be alright.

“Tired barely covers it,” He said with a small laugh as the doctor looked over a few of the papers one of the voulnteers brought in. Giving an approving nod, he smiled at the two.

“He’s fine to leave quarantine. However, Mr.Kaplan, I’d suggest at least a few days of rest-” He looked between the two for a moment, suddenly seeming a little exasperated. “not that you hero types usually take that too seriously.” but, Billy had no problem agreeing.

In all honesty, he had a lot of questions about everything that’s been happening with the main group. What the plan was, who was working on what, who exactly made it here and who was still missing. At the moment, though, there was only one question that really mattered.

“How far is your room?”

Teddy let out a breath he didn’t realizing he was holding as Billy flung his arms around him. Wrapping his own arms around Billy, he blinked back his own tears as he pressed his face into Billy’s neck. “You’re here,” he said, choking on his tears as he kept a firm grip on him. “You’re really here.” 

Pulling his head back a bit, but keeping a firm hold on Billy, Teddy cupped his cheek, feeling a tear fall down his cheek as he said softly, “I was so afraid I had lost you…” He leaned in and kissed him deeply, his tears letting go and rolling down his cheeks. “I missed you so much…” 

While one hand was firmly grasping his shoulder, Billy let the other slip behind Teddy’s head, returning the kiss with all emotion he’d kept pent up over the last few months. The familiar feeling of blonde hair slipping between his fingers had his lips curving up into a smile despite the matching tears that wet his cheeks.

“I’ve missed you so much,” he parrots before moving his hands to gingerly wipe his boyfriend’s tears.

“Lose me? To the zombie apocalypse? Darling, you’ve got to know It’s going to take a lot more than this overplayed trope to take me away from you.” He says, smile firm on his face as he gazed into the blue eyes of the man he positively adored. Billy leaned in for another kiss- mostly because he couldn’t help himself.

“I’m sorry it took so long,” Lord knows if it had been Teddy that was missing, he was pretty sure he would’ve lost his mind twelve times over by now. The mutant leaned against him, vaguely remembering he probably should have listened to the nurse- there was no getting around that after that entire venture he was exhausted.

“But I’ll always find you, I promise.”
