A big thank you to Charles Guerin, Executive Director of the Biggs Museum of American Art, and Ryan Grover the Museum’s Curator, for their superb presentation on the Biggs’ upcoming Exhibition, “Illuminating the Word” that will feature the first illuminated, handwritten Bible in 7 volumes to be commissioned by a Benedictine Monastery in 500 years. 

Mr. Guerin and Mr. Grover brought with them one volume of a handful of reproductions to our meeting - 70 pages of the original - as well as some of the tools used to create it - will be on display at the Biggs Museum between December 4, 2015 and March 27, 2016.

After a six-month nationwide search for a new executive director, Dover’s Biggs Museum of American Art named Mr. Guerin to the position on March 11.
