💕 Saint Valentine Special: Series 8 Post 4
"When you are no longer part of me, I will cut out many small stars from your memory, then the sky will be so beautiful that the whole world will fall in love with the night."
So, said William Shakespeare. So did Marcus when he lost the most important person in his life. Sabine. Of those stars, which fill the sky that they loved to admire together, the man still sees his wife's eyes accompanied by the light of the moon that was nothing compared to her smile. Her voice, crystal clear and of that innate sweetness, echoes every moment of his life in his mind leading him to get lost in the maze of memories. These are the hardest days, the ones in which, like Valentine's Day, they were used to running away and enjoying an entire day alone, pampering themselves as if they had gone back in time to their first awkward outings. An ice cream, a picnic, a crackling fire and a starry sky that made them the most wonderful of blankets. Champagne, strawberries, chocolate and cream; laughter, looks, kisses and then making love. The stars, the moon, the night accomplice of their becoming teenagers and taking every opportunity to be together. Every memory of that decisive and at the same time delicate touch is a scar that marks and hurts the man. Even today, Marcus disappears at night and no one knows where he goes. But Johnny has one certainty: his father returns to that field to look at the stars, wearing the same sweatshirt and holding that of his beloved close to his chest.
