I do not believe I have properly introduced this beauty. This is my pretty big Stromanthe Magic Star, bought last summer.
She was an absolute spontaneous buy. It was a very hot and sunny summer day and on my cycling trip I decided to stop by a local nursery in a neighbouring village. They had a single, glorious looking Stromanta Magic Star; I had never seen them this big with actual shoots growing upwards to create a second layer of leaves.
I have this little luggage rack on the front of my bike. On she went. It was a trip of scorching winds and burning sun rays; I could feel her leaves shriveling up with every kilometer we went. But she managed and I gave her a well-deserved shower when we got home.
I have to confess she was even more glamorous back then. I am pretty bad with calatheas. Even though she has the best spot next to the humidifier, her leaf tips turn brown because I seem to be unable in keeping the air humidity high enough.
