Ok! Listen, before you walk away, hear me out: Both love someone who has never and will never love them the same way. They will bend over backwards to do anything for the ones they care about, but are easily forgotten and thought of as an ‘afterthought.’ Have devoted years of their lives to these people, to only then be treated like shit. And honestly cannot say no to their loves, even when they really should.
So imagine with me: Tay finally leaving Time. Big making it out alive and finally letting Kinn go. Time gets pissed and Tay gets offered protection by Big via Kinn because of Time being the worst. And oh looky here. Two heartbroken individuals who are similar, and who are in the perfect set up to help each other heal. And yes, fall in love. But also could just go platonic if you really wanted. But yeah… something just guts me about Big and Tay being broken and tired, but finding shelter and healing in each other.
They don’t ‘fix’ each other. They hold each other’s hands as they walk the path of healing and finding love that isn’t a one-way street. Of learning to love and value themselves more. Of finally finding someone who sees them and understands, while also making them feel important and loved.
