((*EDIT : I'm so sorry this was supposed to be just a random "dump your thoughts" post but it somehow became a whole @$$ fanfiction I am SO sorry))

Tay who knows about Time being unable to keep it in his pants

Tay who hears the whispers about Time breaking yet another heart (like he has broken Tay's so many times before)

Tay who's suffocating inside the club and goes outside because he desperately needs to get some fresh air

Big who took a break and went outside to have a smoke, because it might have accepted it, but sometimes it's just too hard to look at Kinn and Porsche and their perfect bubble of happiness

Big who suddenly sees Tay and he's insure if he's supposed to put on the perfect bodyguard facade with his boss's best friend, but then realizes Tay is on the verge of screaming and losing it and just quietly offers him a cigarette

Tay who's taken aback by the presence of someone else, and would like very much to tell them to get lost, but actually relaxing when the other person doesn't offer him words, just something to get distracted with, and he accepts it

The two of them leaning against the wall, smoking in silence, no words exchanged, except for a very soft and quiet "thank you" from Tay and a nod from Big right before they go back in

A month going by without anything else happening, but then one night both of them unexpectedly being outside again at the same moment in that very same hallway

This time Tay being the one offering the smoke, and them exchanging a few words, and knowing it should be the last time, except it's not

It actually becomes a common occurence

Something they both start looking forward to, now that the few, superficial words they exchanged at the very beginning shifted into rather meaningful conversations

Tay deciding to take a risk and telling Big about is relationship with Time, all the heartbreaks he has caused him, and the complete lack of trust Tay has developed towards the people surrounding him because of that

Big knowing how deeply heartbreaks hurt, having experienced it first hand, and offering Tay gentle advices, using his own experience but without telling him about his unrequited feelings for Kinn

Tay still realizing it when he sees the hurt and the longing on Big's face on one particular occasion, when Kinn and Porsche are being insufferably coupl-y on their anniversary

Tay waiting for Big to go outside and following him just to hug him

Big being taken aback but hugging Tay back fiercely and almost desperately

Them staying close for several minutes before they release each other, but keeping their hands on each other arms, unable to let go just yet

And then Tay closing once again the distance and putting the softest, most delicate ghost of a kiss on Big's lips, whispering a very quiet "I'm sorry", before turning and running back inside

Big being completely dumfounded, touching his lips with his fingertips, because what has just happened, why Tay did that, and most importantly why did he stop

Big going back inside and seeing Tay sitting on Time's lap, a smile on his lips and the saddest look in his eyes

Big burning inside, being mad at Tay, because he's so tired of being used, tired of feeling unworthy, but most importantly tired of seeing people so undeserving like Time having the privilege to handle a heart so precious as Tay's and crushing it repeatedly

Big train of thoughts being interrupted by someone shouting, and suddenly there are screams everywhere, and Big switch into bodyguard's mode instantly, keeping an eye on Kinn and Porsche, but also on Tay

Big being able to keep all of them safe but getting shot in the process

Big seeing Tay on the verge of crying before he passes out due to the blood loss

Big waking up in the hospital, and seeing Kinn and Porsche there, and feeling warm about it, but realizing there's no other lingering bad or unwanted feelings, just calm and peacefulness

Kinn making sure that he's okay and telling him he's going to reassign him to Kim for a while, to give him proper time to heal

Big being more than grateful, knowing that his body isn't the only part of him that needs healing, and welcoming the much needed break

Big managing to keep his face straight when as soon as Kinn walks out of the room, Porsche immediately takes out from his pocket a small card, and gives it to Big with a meaningful look, before walking out as well

Big looking at the phone number, written in the most elegant and endearing handwriting, and deciding that he's not ready, that this time he needs to properly protect and take care of his heart first

Big spending more than two months with Kim, and being exceptionally bored on a daily basis, due to the fact that Kim is spending his time desperately trying to fix all his past mistakes and properly find a way to apologize to Porchay

Big somehow trying to be helpful, giving few and spare advices once in a while, and being completely unperturbed at the realization that his thoughts never once wonder in Kinn's direction

Big being sincerely happy when he sees Kim and Porchay finally talking and making up, and taking out from his wallet the card he now regards as his most valuable possession

Big going to Kinn's office the next day and asking to be reassigned to him, and Kinn gladly accepting it

Big being on the edge for the next few days, until one night Porsche claims that he needs to go to the club, since they haven't been in way too long, plus Kinn, doesn't Big deserve some fun after babysitting their brothers for so long?

Big being impossibly grateful and feeling just the tiniest hint of regret for not accepting Porsche's friendship back in the day

Big entering the club that same night and scanning the whole room until he sees the only person who matters, and feeling his heart beat faster, and being impossibly worried cause, wasn't he supposed to protect it this time?

Big suddenly not having any more time to process his feelings because Tay is turning in his direction, and Tay is looking at him, and Tay is loosing the grip on his glass when he sees him, and seems completely unaware of Time loudly complaining about his poor, ruined shoes

Tay being unable to break the stare for what feels like an eternity, until Time gets up and says he's going to the restroom to clean himself up, and Tay turns to him to give him a small, apologetic smile

Tay trying to distract himself and having a conversation with Kinn and Porsche, but looking in Big's directions every few seconds

Big not once taking his eyes off Tay, but managing to make it look like is making sure of the well-being of his boss

Big getting increasingly annoyed by the fact that it's been already several minutes and Time is not getting back from the bathroom

Big deciding that he's going to do exactly what he's not supposed to, and after making sure the others have it covered, he goes to the bathroom

Big hearing moans coming from the last stall as soon as he enters

Big wanting to take his gun out, but when the door of the stall opens, he just uses his fists to punch Time, more than once, while the other guy just runs out

Big never being so furious in his entire existence, and only stopping when Kinn physically restrains him

Big looking at Kinn and feeling the same anger radiating from him, and expecting Kinn to punch him, except Kinn's anger seems also completely directed at Time

Kinn shouting a "GO" to Big, who doesn't think about it twice and just gets out

Big not knowing what to do, but crossing paths with Porsche who just lends him the keys of his bike

Big getting out from the backdoor and immediately climbing on the bike

Big hearing the door opening and seeing Tay running to him

Big looking at him and knowing in his heart that he would do it again, and again, because no one as good as Tay deserves to be treated like that

Big taking Tay's hand in his and whispering "come with me"

Tay unwilling to let go of Big's hand but also shaking his head, Tay saying the he can't, Tay saying that it would cause too many problems

Big knowing those are all excuses, Big knowing Tay is afraid, but Big also having decided that this time he's gonna protect himself

Big telling him that he will meet Tay halfway when Tay is ready, and just like that he's starting the bike, trying to put as much distance as he physically can between him and Tay

Tay feeling the same exact way he felt the first time he saw Big in that same exact spot, ready to lose it, ready to scream, except for a complete different reason

Tay going back inside, and suddenly hearing Time's loud threats, saying that he will kill Kinn's bodyguard, how dare he lay a hand on him

Tay seeing red and finally, finally being able to break free from his fears

Tay slapping Time so hard their entire group goes quiet

Tay proclaiming in a very calm voice that from that very same day, Big hadn't been working for Kinn, but for him

Tay telling Time that he was the one asking Big to follow him, as a form of protection of Tay's interests

Tay making very clear to Time that coming after his bodyguard would be like Time coming after him, and does he really want to do that?

Tay announcing in the most calm and detached voice that he and Time are officially not an item anymore, and starting to walk out the main entrance

Time having the audacity to go after Tay and yank him by the arm, except he only manages to get another slap, with Tay pointing his finger at him and telling him to never touch him again

Tay getting out of the club and feeling free like he hasn't felt in years

Tay getting his phone out of his pocket and finding a text with an address
