Comfort me for Samantha, please.
[Not sorry for potential feels]
The war against the triads seemed to grow worse with every passing day. For Aquene it was the worst when she heard this casualty list and Inia was on it, then further down she saw both Mishin and Riao had fallen as well. All to firebenders. Hopelessness washed over her and she had closed shop for a week to grieve.
Samantha had been passing through Republic City that week, too. Seeing that the clinic was closed worried the warrior, even more so when she noticed that Aquene didn’t lock her door. Carefully the red head crept upstairs. It was there she found the therapist curled up on her couch, three empty fire whiskey bottles on the floor around her. She must have heard Samantha, given how she turned her head slowly to her. Aquene’s face was streaked with drying tears. That was all that it took to have the taller woman cross the room and scoop up the therapist.
Aquene turned her body to curl around her, sobbing softly into the other’s shoulder. When asked what happened she only shook her head, not telling the other of the turf war or her friends that had died. Instead she just clung onto the Amazonian until she had run out of tears and had fallen into a fitful sleep.
Not knowing what to do Samantha just stayed there, holding the withdrawn therapist and offering as much comfort as she could.
[And Mishin and Riao are just two npcs of mine that I always seem to have die… weeeeee]
