i’d love to speak more on the history of the hairstyle i wear, and to give credit to the Mohawk (Kanien’kehá:ka) of the easternmost nation of the Iroquois. The Mohawk were fierce warriors and often adorned their hair, molding it to reach the sky, and adding feathers to accentuate and elongate the hairstyle. In the 1980s, punks in the USA adopted this hairstyle only a short time after the law prohibiting cultural expression among indigenous people was lifted by the government. It is important that I know what I am wearing and why I am wearing it. When I put my hair up, I am reminded of the fierce and powerful individuals and warriors, those that still exist on this land we call Canada, and what is referred to as Turtle Island.

Luscious lime bihawk. Reminds me of that dinosaur from the very first Jurassic Park, and its extending neck ruffle (hood? flanges?) Dinio doubles aside, this man looks like an absolute dude, and definitely dtf. (Barber’s not bad either!)
