(Kos belongs to me, Roz to the lovely @biireys and Caez to the ever amazing @caez-sucks~!!!)
Kos wasn’t feeling purple. She wasn’t. She was leaving purple far behind her in the crowd where Ren was, being tall and not-sulky-enough. Of course he picked a public event to be weird and… and… overly familiar. Who cared how many moon cycles it would have been since she was officially taken into the First Order? Kylo was always pushing the boundaries like they weren’t there.
Kos wrinkled her nose, smoothing down the silk of her dress and making her way to the refreshments. They were a table stacked with dishes from a collection of Order-Controlled planets with good cuisine, and Kos couldn’t help but feel her mouth water. Back on Sakroem it was Royal’s choice, and Advisers such as herself only got to eat the left overs if and only if the Royals themselves didn’t want to keep them, or throw them out. She had been lucky in her choice of Royal, the girl had been her age, brash, and uncaring. It meant that she got loads of snacks, especially when her Royal had been on that odd diet.
But those had been Sakroemian snacks, nothing like the delicacies put out in perfect order, in a pattern based on where they were from. The servers were courteous to her, bowing with perfect posture, and she didn’t bother wondering how long it had taken them to perfect that sort of motion. Bowing was an art form that was generally unappreciated, and Kos wasn’t going to appreciate it right now either.
She was still debating on different dishes when she was aware of another presence behind her. It was still new, being able to sense other Force users, so it came as a small surprise when Roz’s now-familiar Force presence was joined by another, newer presence as well.
Though, perhaps newer wasn’t the right word. Kos had definitely felt their presence before, but in the distance on the Finalizer. The girl felt her hair start to lighten as her gaze rose from the center of their black cloth covered chest - did everyone on this ship had to be so kriffing tall? - up to those full, smirking lips and pale skin. Those shining, green eyes…
“Is everything alright?” Kos blinked the purple glow from the rings around her irises and focused on Roz, hoping her hair wasn’t turning completely pastel. Roz was still wearing that red and gold member that made her heart squeeze tight, which she could and would blame on Kylo’s constant presence in her mind, thank you, and instead huffed.
“Why wouldn’t everything be alright?” Kos didn’t mean for her voice to be so gruff, but there it was, so she cleared her throat and gave a soft hum. “Oh. Because of the whole.” She waved her hand in a circle, looking off to the side. “We uh. Do that. Disappear into rooms together. It’s a thing.”
“To do what?” Kos, who had been doing her best to ignore the other Force User, slowly turned her attention back to them. It took a moment, but soon their face matched up with their file. As Hux’s apprentice, she had been dealing with the new recruit files, sorting through them and reorganizing, and if this was who she thought it was, then they had an extensive file. Kosmik had spent hours putting out Caez’s - metaphorical, and literal - fire. In fact, had she not been working on the files in Hux’s stead, she was sure that they would have been kicked out long ago.
Still, you’d think a file that thick would at least mention that they were tall and breathtaking…
Focus, Kos!
That had better’ve been her own thought.
“Oh. Oh you know… talk… mostly.” She had to tilt her head back to look Caez in the eye, and it made her strictly uncomfortable. It was too… too.. intimate. Too much in the other member’s favor. She was suddenly very grateful that her face could not change color the way her curls could,. Her skin, at least, stayed dark.
“About what?” Roz was speaking again, her expression something between amused, concerned, and some odd third emotion that Kos was much too distracted to think clearly about.
“Stuff, Roz.” Kos said, her hair darkening once more in her indigo-tinted frustration. “Things.”
“What are you three doing here all together?” Almost like he’d been summoned - she hadn’t summoned him, had she? That would just be embarrassing, especially since the other two force users could have felt it - Ren showed up, looking between the three of them like he’d just been caught in the middle of something he shouldn’t have been doing. He froze under the force of their three gazes, brown/purple, gold, and green perhaps too much for him, until Kos turned away to address the server who had piled her plate high with with delicacies.
“We all are on this ship, Ren. We had to run into each other eventually.” Caez said, at the same time Roz went,
“Standing. Like people do,” and Kos went,
“Finalizer’s big, but it’s not that big.” She glanced up from the plate in time to see Kylo’s expression waver, before he turned on his heel to leave.
Don’t be so sensitive, Starkid.
He paused, glancing over his shoulder at her (her hair went slightly purple again, damn it!), before continuing off. She supposed that it wasn’t right to judge him for running off when she was about to pull a disappearing act of her own, once Hux wasn’t looking…
“Roz. Caez.” Kos paused, her hair lightening slightly as she looked between the two. “It’s been.”
Noting Hux’s back to her, she mad her escape as quickly as a girl in a skirt could, which, honestly, was a lot faster than she thought it’d be.
She had to meditate before the vision left her fully, and at least she’d stayed long enough that technically, technically, she was following orders.
is ross a meme? does she meme sometimes? also how do ross/kassie/dorian interact?
Ross is a meme but Kassie is more of the little shit. Ross is unaware of her meme-ness and denies it when Kassie or Dorian point it out.Dorian and Ross and Kassie are basically a support team. They all lean on eachother and get along v well. Dorian and Ross didnt get along at first bc he used to, ya know, hunt them with Fae but eventually she warmed up to him. (HA get it. Bc shes the sun. Anyway-) At some point they realize they Like each other and become A Thing but its never really said out loud. Kassie thinks of him like a brother she never wanted and razzes him for the smallest things, but she loves him and would protect him to the end. Kassie and Ross often butt heads about how to go about things, but at the end of the day, they are each other’s Go To Person and are very best friends and are soul mates so as long as theyre together nothing else really matters.
Um!!! Pls tell me all about Ria bc I always love hearing about her. Even little fun facts. Or like, how she likes her toast. The tiniest details.
Ria likes her toast warm but not crunchy. She basically likes warm bread shes the worst. Her fave hobbies are going to the gym, prooving Miles wrong, and giving her soft sleepy kisses on her forehead when she gets up to go to work. And shes a morning person. Obnoxiously so. She hates peanut butter a lot and will tell people shes highly allergic so she doesnt have to smell it. Despite like.. literally being abducted by aliens at some point probably she still retains that the scars on her face were from a bear with mange and not a wendigo, like Miles insists they are.

It’s a word we like to use to make ourselves seem great, but I’m sure that Hercules and Thor and Achilles and Alexander the Great and Queen Elizabeth and every great that there ever was has been afraid at one point or another."
