“Did You Draw Them?”

Ibiki x Iruka drabble I wrote for @hades-bitch​

i hope you will like this and I hope I gave justice for Ibiki’s character ahaha. Made this around 30 minutes so forgive me for errors >.<

Soulmate AU where whatever you write on your skin appears on your soulmate's.

Ibiki, with all his cold heart and facade, knew that he loves Iruka wholly, and that he’d do anything- and accept everything from him. He’s his soulmate. His only one. But then again, his soulmate’s unpredictableness could be- what’s the word? No, it’s not annoying, it’s just that Iruka always managed to be a darling in an unusual timing.

Today was a usual work day for Ibiki, he was busy investigating and scaring the shit out of a missing-nin they found when suddenly, he felt his skin itching. He tried to ignore it for he knew it’s his soulmate’s doing, but then the missing-nin he’s face to face with had the guts to laugh at Ibiki. 

This made the tokubetsu jounin angry. He slammed his fist down the perpetrator’s abdomen, causing the poor man to choke on his own laughter. 

“I said who brought you here!” 

“I won’t talk to some- l-loser who has hearts on his arms!” The missing-nin suddenly closed his mouth, dread running up his whole body when Ibiki directly glared at him- scarier than the last one. Soon enough, the last thing the vigilante saw was Ibiki’s fist before darkness overtook him. 

Ibiki sighed and turned around, rubbing his left arm as he looked directly at his colleague. 

“I will talk to him later.” 

“O-okay! Got it!” 

Ignoring how he was answered, Ibiki unrolled his sleeves and walked out of the room. If it weren’t for the cameras around, and with his team watching, that missing-nin would’ve been dead the second he called out the marking on his arms- valuable information be damned. 

How dare that missing-nin insult him like that. Ibiki felt like not only did he offend him, but also his soulmate. His Iruka who’s unpredictable. 

Once he’s inside the comforts of his office, and making sure no one was around. Ibiki walked up to his desk and unrolled his sleeves, only to be greeted by three new doodles on his left arm.

‘♡ Be home at 8 ♡♡’ 

It was Iruka’s handwriting alright, Ibiki could tell for he had memorized everything that was Iruka years ago. However, the three doodled hearts around was something new, Ibiki couldn’t help the curiosity within him so he grabbed a marker from his desk and quickly wrote something on his palm. 

‘Noted. Did you draw the hearts?’

Moments later, he felt his skin prickling.

‘Yes ♡’

Ibiki snorted lightly and took a seat. He stared at the little hearts doodled around his arm, and he asked the heavens how he got such a charming lover. Ibiki never really asked for anyone, didn’t really care about soulmates, but then he met Iruka. 

The ever so cute Iruka. 

Ibiki couldn’t ask for more- and sure hell, he’d kill anyone for Iruka. 

Uncapping the marker, Ibiki wrote something on his hand before unrolling his sleeve once more and began doing work so he’d get to go home early.

On the other side, Iruka was smiling dumbly as he stared at the back of his hand. He really couldn’t wait to see the other man later on.
