Billa 2: The Beginning is a 2012 Indian Tamil gangster-thriller film, a remake of 1983 Hollywood Film Scarface, An American crime drama film. It is a prequel to the 2007 film Billa and is directed by Chakri Toleti and focuses on how David, an ordinary man from the coastal regions of South Tamil Nadu, becomes Billa, a dreaded underworld don, with Ajith Kumar reprising the role of the titular character.
