It was an awful playsession. I really, really really, REALLY did not want to hit save. I did, and it hurt me deeply. And then, in response to Alec’s birthday party,

I couldn’t agree more. During my time with the hood so far, Kitty has tried to hop into bed/hot/tub/whatever with, in no particular order, Bea, Brian, Billie, Ollie, Francine, a random townie whose name I’ve forgotten, Griffin, George, and Gideon. Hers is a death I’m sort of looking forward to. There’ll be less drama, for sure! Thank you for following along on the journey. I’m sorry for all the damage they’re doing to us all. I think @grimbunnies​ summed it up better than I could:

The Fourth Generation

Gideon seemed to enjoy the sandwiches, and so did Uncle Thor. Those two ate a whole lot of them! Alec ate a few himself. (That’s his hat. How did we not get a posed picture of all of us?!)

We rented a table and a bar, and I’m glad. Mom spent a lot of time there, as did Aunt Helena.

Aunt Marshmallow and Mom, meanwhile, found our chess table. It isn’t a Huckleberry party if there aren’t games, right?

So we’re officially married. I’m so happy, I don’t think anything, ever, could bring me down. Dante is too, of course. I’m so lucky to be, finally and officially, Mrs. Ortiz. And the whole world looks bright.

And, Watcher, Ollie and Brian wanted the baby to be raised by her dad. So they called Dante, because.

I mean, you only have to look at her to see how much like Beatrice she is.

And Dante is a good man. He really is, despite this. So he brought her home. And wants us to raise her with her siblings, and be a family together.

I told him the two of them could sleep in another room. It’s late, I’m heartsick. I’m furious, and I have to think about this.

Dear Diary, It’s two o’clock in the morning. I’m absolutely furious, and I can’t sleep.
I woke up a bit ago, and realized that not only was Dante not in bed, but I hadn’t seen him for hours. I thought he’d come home from work, but I don’t remember seeing him this evening.

What woke me up was him coming home. With a baby. So, obviously, I asked what was going on. He was in tears.

He held the little one closer, and said that Billie had her baby. And promptly died.

Ollie had called Dante to ask him to come over, because he knew. Oh, Watcher.

I don’t know what I was thinking. I called Ollie. Maybe I wanted to chew him out. We’re best friends, and he didn’t tell me he knew his sister’s baby was my husband’s?

As the phone rang, I sort of panicked and asked to talk to Dannie instead. I heard a lot of laughing in the background. It sounded nice.

Dannie said they were having a family day, with games and reading and all sorts of things, and Kitty was going to get a promotion, and everything was great.

He didn’t say anything about Billie or the baby, for which I was really grateful.

I don’t know what I would have said if he had. I felt so awfully jealous as I hung up.

But don’t get me wrong! Not everything is dark and dreary over there! Dannie had his birthday, and is a pretty cute kid!

Brian got a promotion, which he was really hoping for!

And, when Billie called, she said she’d made a new friend.

I thought we pretty much knew everyone in town already, but, whoever it is, Billie’s a big fan!

I tried to call Billie to see if she was feeling any better, but Ollie said she wasn’t up to talking. It seems that something happened yesterday that just didn’t help her mood, and she wasn’t going to come to the phone.

Well, so much for that! I hope she gets to feeling better soon!

Ollie said that things were really good for his dad: a new promotion! And Ollie got a new job, too.
