i spent too long thinking about this and it somehow progressed beyond a crack ship

they would be So Bad for each other. the winged lion would just use Bill for his desire for Ford, and as a way to try and get out of prison, and Bill would be stuck between not letting go of Ford and still trying to get with the winged lion. all kinds of terrible.

there’s probably some sequence of events where their relationship settles into itself and they figure things out, but. it’s more fun this way.

bill: i want this guy to eat me (horny)

winged lion: i want to eat this guy (going to kill him)

Ruv is slightly fascinated with birds. He knows legit nothing about species or science or anything like that, but his eyes just glue to them whenever he sees them in a park, especially brightly colored ones.

Whitty likes his guitar too much to ever get rid of it. He's practically memorized every scratch in the varnish, old colorful sticker, and faded line of paint on the frets. He's had it for years, and he'll have it for years more. Ruv, (who steals a new jacket every time it needs a wash) has told him several times he could just swipe a new guitar for him, and Whitty has adamantly refused every time he offered.

Idk who said it, but I got a comment on Streetlight once that said "Ruv's love language is crime" which I agree with. Moreover, his love language is showing off, though he'd never admit it. Jokes, crime, dangerous stunts, mouthing off, and stuff he knows he's guaranteed good at he'll use to show off, and getting a reaction is his goal. It makes him feel validated. If it's something he dosen't think he's good at (ie SINGING) he won't do it, for fear of getting the wrong kind of reaction.

Whitty, on the other hand, shows love in trust. If he dosen't trust you, like hell if he'll ever like you. Lying to him or cheating is a one-way ticket to getting dumped. Living kinda constantly on the run from people trying to kill him has created a mindset that requires trust for love for him. I know their languages seem switched lol, but that's just what seems likely in my mind.

On a lighter note, they laugh at people together. They're jerks (but they're jerks TOGETHER), so not-so-polite-commentary while people watching in a local park or at the mall is pretty commonplace. Rich people get the butt-end usually, but nobody is immune to their mini ridicules. They'll just casually insult people on the street under their breaths and laugh together.
