Do you think the rise in Zucest popularity as fandom meme has anything to do with newer audiences using irony and shock from the years of Zuko arc analysis and taking him really seriously? The whole Sage God Iroh and Leaves from the Vine+Tea normie twitter- Reddit energy lead to me kinda hating Zuko for a bit before I learnt to separate art from fandom and grew into loving Mei, Ty Lee and especially Azula more as characters.
It's much simpler than that: people like it when siblings fuck.
