First two renders of what's supposed to be a "Songtober," I suppose you'd call it, sort of thing.

Though in my case I'm going off of a prompt list my buddy Diego puts together yearly and gives a dirty pun name. The first of these, years back, was "Halloweiner." Then it was "Cocktober." Then some others. Now it's "Fallus" but he misspelled it when he sent me the list.

Back in the day I'd made all 31 renders (as I'd call the song segments) for the original Halloweiner on account of peaking in high school (for a given definition). Unfortunately, the subsequent year's Cocktober went unfinished, and only a select trio of renders from it have been released thus far.

Then I took a break from doing these things for a couple years in order to do more important things like wallow.

This year decided I needed to give my life some kind of purpose again after finishing Silksong (for now; need to do a couple replays still) and failing academically (ideally unrelated) so on a whim started Fallis. Am already thoroughly behind, but who's counting?

Did finish the first render, Wake, on October 1st, just as planned. However, evidently didn't get to finalizing the second render, Dread, until now.

Amusingly, a couple weeks prior to seeing the prompt list I had already written a short rap demo/track titled "iiwake," that I could've considered Fallis rend 1 if I was lazy. I decided not to be lazy, and instead was crazy, as that one saying (read: anime ED) goes. I'll upload iiwake to something at some point. Maybe here tomorrow.

The audio quality on this upload might not be the best, but who's counting? It might be by design. Either way I'll fix it next render, probably.

Here's a song from one or two years ago, depending on whether we look at when it was uploaded to Youtube and Soundcloud (the latter, and ideally not also the former, in somewhat poor quality) or when the file was allegedly rendered.

I hope the owner of the photo I found online after a Google search for "detroit back alley" doesn't sue me for its use. Or the owner of the alley for that matter.

Some of the lyrics sound like they were inspired by the (great) game Return of the Obra Dinn, but most if not all of them were written prior to my playing that one. Oddly I specifically recall that line which says "stop watch" was written prior.

I like this one enough. Maybe it could've benefitted from additional percussion besides the CASIO, but I like the CASIO.

Wait, CASIO is a Japanese company so it's real romanized name is Kashio? I'm going to need some time alone to think about this.
