It was a hot summer day that was quickly turning into a pink sunset. Billie suggested going for a drive with no official destination just a go with the flow type of vibe. So then she stood up grabbed her keys , kissed shark goodbye and led you out the door.
And, that's how you ended up on the passenger seat which was your usual place even in your own car because billie would be persistent on being the one who drives all the time.
Billie hand rested on your exposed thigh just about where your summer dress, that clung onto your upper body but freed itself from the waist down, ended. You didn't react much to it because I was something she's always done but just looked at it and traced her tattoo for a bit before your attention shifted to the scenery outisde the window.
One of your fingers pushed down the window button letting the breeze from outside enter the space of the car. Your hair immediately react to the breeze making little strands get blown away.
At first you fold your arms and rest them on the windows space but gradually you allow your head to pop out the car to be able to watch the sky properly. Your eyes scanned how the clouds scattered throughout the once blue sky and how they seemed to follow the sun.
While you where mesmerised by the sky Billie was mesmerised by you. Her eyes were on the road most of the time but you seem to distract her here and there.
The radio was playing some indie song that you seem to take a liking too because you started to sing along. Billie was a singer ofcourse but eventually got used to it seeing nothing special about it due to how much time she spends listening to it which is why she found yours to be angelic.
Your head turns to look back at Billie only to find her eyes already on you which makes you erupt in giggles before sitting back normally.
"Your eyes are suppose to be on the road" you say your head lowering to face your lap as your fingers fidget with Billie's hand.
A blush was creeping up your cheeks because from some reason she still had that effect on you even after years of dating. And, you knew she could tell too because she chuckled a bit before looking back at the road.
"It's your fault you're so pretty princess " she compliments using the right pet name to make you flustered.
You don't answer her instead your head titlts to look a her with a big smile playing on your lips. You felt overwhelmed with the love she showed you but at the same time you could never get enough of it.
"Don't smile at me like that you're distracting " Billie' whines looking away from me back on the road before laughing at herself for how smitten she is for you.
You laugh with her before your eyes shift back to her hand on your thigh. You intertwine your hand wiith her hands gently before picking it up and pressing your lips against it giving her kiss .
"I love you " the words slip out of your mouth with no hesitancy before your eyes shyly travel back to Billie.
Her eyes seems to shine differently when she looked at you after hearing those words so to return the favour she herself by pulled your intertwined hands towards her self leaning in to give your side of the hand a kiss smilling at you.
"I love you more princess"
