Simply stated, the narrator is discussing a chaotic point of violence in the world around him, that it is painful. &&. there is a need to have an escape.

( … ) The songs lyrics can be interpreted a variety of different ways, from the song pointing to separate interpretations on romance, on drugs, to even the music video being its own interpretation altogether. I like to think it works well given you hold a variety of muses — for me I thought of Wrin &&. Wesker, feel like the general background melody of the song is calm enough, slow mysterious enough but catchy to sound fun, serene, while the lyrics have the potential to fit either in a slowed drawling sort of hum. 💕

Son of Nyx feels like a reflection on the previous levels of Hell &&. Limbo as one descends deeper in. The backing vocals make it so haunting, especially because of the distorted sounds, the little refrains from previous songs &&. their themes.

This song finishes &&. leads into All Things End on the album it’s from. It feels like passing on &&. then waking up in the afterlife, being guided by the hand to your next. Thanatos, the Greek depiction of death was in fact a son of Nyx, primordial Goddess of night — so that feeling of transition &&. passing on definitely feels intentional when combined with the title.

This song ultimately represents Dante’s first steps toward the light, on his journey through Hell. Something hopeful, a palette cleansing break before the next trial.

( … ) The instrumental parts of the song are calming, peaceful, but they hold a very strong emotional weight to them that I can’t help but think of Chris, or associate with him. The feeling of traversing lower into unknown depths, the haunting sound of the vocals from past songs — the fact it’s meant to be about stepping towards the light while walking through hell. All I can say is it reminds me greatly of Chris navigating the chaos of his life game by game, the internal way he tries to make sense of everything while still holding strong to his set goal to continue such a fight. It’s a very sad sort of hopeful tune that connects with Chris beautifully in my opinion. If he were to have a theme song it’d be this.

❝ Wow, uh . . . Thank you. ❞ He thinks anyways. He isn’t truthfully sure just how long he’s been out of things, since he’s been back here, caught up in the haze of trials before things eventually blurred & faded to the point they had now. Coming across a friendly enough face after a long while, though, a sense of some normalcy, however off it was, was welcomed. Quirking a half smile, Chris ducks his head, sheepish but no less thankful as he accepts the welcome back.

Wrin found a pice of paper. It looks like an invite to some kind of party.. OH! A pool is mentiont.

Wrin turns up with his homies to the place where the so calld pool is. Dwight, Wesker and Ji Woon are the so sayd homies.

Wrin slides in the water without hessitation. As soon he is under the water some kind of creature is seen. Did Wrin just turned into a water monster? Looks a bit like an eel or something.

Wesker is just unsure why he is here. Going to get a drink somewhere befor he consider to get himself wet.

Ji Woon is trying to make a phone call over and over again. He doesn't seem to reach the person he tries to call.

Dwight just look at the invite again. Then looks around. Trying to find the birthday person.

Lillie was lounging on a wellness seat far in the back. She didn't really expect people to visit her. She was used to celebrating her birthday alone.

When she heard splashing and talking, she got startled and looked up from the nap.

She watched killers at the pool areas and Dwight. Catching Dwights eyes she waves shyly.
