🌸 + I haven't read a book in SO LONG! The only books tjat come to mind really are the DSM V (manual for mental disorders bc i'm a psych hoe), "1984" by George Orwell, and this YA novel I read long ago that stuck with me called "Hacking Harvard" by Robin Wasserman asjkdsakjl ALSO CONGRATS ON THE 1K, SIS!! YOU DESERVE THE ENTIRE WORLD!!

hi sis 💓 thank you so much!! and thank you for participating :’) 1984 is a classic! when i first read it in high school i was taking ap psych at the same time and that combination really made me think of how we, as humans, act or can be convinced/forced to act, and how thought -- or lack of it -- can separate us or bring us together, or be used for good or bad purposes. it was a year of many, many insights LOL. i’ll have to go look for my copy of it again. i’ll look into that YA book, too!

ok this is based only off avengers 1 because we’ve already established that i don’t remember the dark world 😂

in that vein, i do agree that loki’s a villain there, and people go to very, very great lengths to excuse him taking control of clint and dr selvig + and working with an invading force to take over earth. i think the conversation with the older man in stuttgart says a lot in that regard, equating him with someone looking to subjugate humanity in the belief that they’re right or appropriate for it, or that they deserve to be ruled without free will: ‘there are no men like me’ / ‘there are always men like you.’ hope i articulated that okay!

disagree!! i sustained myself through undergrad with 99% coffee and 1% my own tears, so while i wouldn’t really touch it that much now outside of Emergency Circumstances, i don’t think it’s nasty. and i’ve always been a tea person!
