Ultraman (1966)
Guys, I met Ultraman (Earth name Bin Furuya) and he's the coolest dude in the universe. It was incredible and a little surreal to meet and joke around with the actual, factual Ultraman. Ultra thanks Furuya-san!
Bin Furuya, the suit actor who portrayed Ultraman, welcoming Hirohisa Nakata, who plays the title character in Captain Ultra.
Captain Ultra took over Ultraman's time slot during Tokyo Broadcasting System's Takeda Hour, which was sponsored by the Takeda Pharmaceutical Company.
Captain Ultra was a 24-episode filler series, holding the time slot until Ultraseven began broadcasting. Furuya-san returned as a series regular in Ultraseven, only this time as a member of the Ultra Guard, and not in a creature costume.

Some time ago I made a post about internet movie host Count Gore de Vol, and it lead me to another internet horror program called Monster Madhouse (site), except this one puts special emphasis on kaiju and giant monsters. The main host goes by the name Karlos Borloff!
Above is an episode showcasing Gappa: The Triphibian Monster, that among other things also shows footage of meeting suit actors Haruo Nakajima, Bin Furuya and Tsutomu Kitagawa (also in this video)!
They even have original kaiju as hosts sometimes:

And I’m just scratching the surface as I’m finding out about this. Their youtube channel has hours of old fashioned public tv creature feature goodness.
