In movies with robots who become sentient and fall in love, why do they always become devoted to a human? Or a robot that has been given the opposite fake gender as their fake gender?
I mean, they don't have genitals or hormones. They could fall in love with literally anything. Why not a movie where a robot achieves sentience and then develops an emotional attachment to, like.... Like an endangered rhino?
Huh? Wouldn't that be cool? A newly self aware robot takes it upon itself to keep the safety of a grumpy ol' rhino? Becomes a vigilante protector of the dying rhinos?
Sounds awesome to me.
